Jewels Shawl Pattern



A simple triangular shawl pattern perfect for someone looking for an easy but effective knit.  This pattern uses yarn overs to give a lovely simple lace effect of a diamond edging.

Final Measurements
Wingspan = 44 inches or 112cms
Depth to centre point = 22 inches or 56 cms

Blocked Gauge = stocking stitch pattern, 20 stitches to 4 inches or 10 cms and 32
rows to 4 inches or 10 cms

1 skein of sock weight or fingering weight yarn – e.g. Tyddyn Bryn Sock, Stardust or
Smooshie (pictured) 100grams, 437m or 400 yards
4mm circular needles or size to get gauge

CM = centre marker
K = knit
K2tog = knit 2 sts together
P = purl
PM = place marker
PM1 = Place marker 1,
PM2 = Place marker 2
PM3 = Place marmer 3
PM4 = Place marker 4.
slm = slip marker
SSK = Slip, slip, knit: slip two stitches one by one as if
to knit, then knit these two stitches together through the
back loop
SKPO = Slip one stitch knitwise, knit the next two together and pass slipped stitch
