So this is always a fun and simple activity! I often start by reading a story for inspiration, the one above was after Stickman by Julia Donaldson, but I’ve built rainbows, gruffalos, mandalas… all sorts!!

You will need:

  • A random assortment of garden or indoor objects
  • Try for lots of colours shapes and sizes
  • Sticks (optional) to create a frame for the masterpiece

So I am issuing a challenge!!! Come on over to Facebook and share your masterpieces!!! 😁

Read a story, and talk about their creations, discuss colours, shapes and sizes, get the children to hunt around the area for the items to build a picture and encourage them to look high and low, and don’t forget let their imaginations run wild!!
