The weather at the moment is glorious!!! But we are all still staying home, keeping safe and protecting the NHS! I am missing getting out and doing my forest school and outdoor learning sessions both here and at the nurseries….

So here is an activity from last year I did with all my nurseries!! Suncatchers!! Perfect time now as things are starting to flower!!

You will need:

  • Sticks (lolly or twigs!)
  • Sticky back plastic (or sellotape will also work the wider the better though!)

Using the sticky back plastic and the sticks make a frame….

Then get outside and start collecting bits for your masterpieces!!

Hop on over to Facebook and show us your masterpieces!!!

The learning outcomes are creative here, developing imagination and creativity, but by making different shapes frames you can bring shape, also talk about colours and where you can name the plants that you are using!! (There are loads of online resources and apps to help you identify plants!!)
