A colour hunt is probably the simplest scavenger hunt to do!
We used cardboard from a few boxes. Made them into board shapes. Added colour dots and words. Grabbed the tape and off we went!
It is fabulous when children are able to go off in all directions hunting for colours themselves what they come back with to get stuck down! Every board was different!! Unique, like the child choosing the coloured items.
Activities like this really give you a good idea of the observational skills of the children. Their fields of observation, did they look high/low or just at one height? Did they think laterally? Is the colour in the tiniest bit of detail? Or a big blousy expression of each colour?
