This week we had THREE goldfinches zooming about in the seed heads on the wall!! So exciting as they are such pretty birds!!
And so fast I couldn’t get my own image, but this beautiful one shows you how wonderful these little birds look!!
What they eat…
They love weed seeds and are often found picking over the seed heads, which means again they are a wonder for gardeners who want to rid themselves of certain seeds! They also love the lavender seed heads if you leave them in place for them to comb over rather than harvest them all for lavender bags!!

This is probably the third time we have seen these little characters on the holding and I hope we see more of them!
